This was a video game developed to promote El Nuevo Libro de Colombia from the newspaper El Espectador, which was distributed every Sunday with the newspaper. This video game was published on the Facebook web platform promoting high social integration and healthy competition among players.
The gameplay mechanic was similar to the famous Mario Bros game where a character runs through the world from left to right and his art is created in two dimensions (2D). In our game, the player did not control the speed at which the character moved, but he did control the ability to jump and duck to avoid obstacles.
The game consisted of touring Colombia through its different geographical areas each one being a world of the game where the player faced the typical flora and fauna of that region. To complete the learning at the end of each world, the player had to solve a trivia testing his knowledge.
